METh is a peer-reviewed journal, and welcomes the submission of articles for consideration for publication on any aspect of its range of interest. Its central focus is early
theatre, broadly defined, in the British Isles up until the opening of the London playhouses and the decline of civic religious drama. The journal’s time period can extend into the early
seventeenth century for forms of theatre that continued outside the development of commercial drama. We are also happy to consider contributions on early European and Latin drama,
ceremony, and other forms of performance, together with analyses of modern survivals or their equivalents, and of research productions of medieval and Tudor plays.
Authors are asked to consult the guidance on the submission of articles when preparing manuscripts for consideration.
