N8 Research Culture and Environment (RCE) Group
Lancaster University is part of the N8 Research Partnership - a collaboration of the eight most research intensive universities in the North of England. The N8 Research Culture and Environment working group is charged with taking forward the N8 universities commitment to a healthy and collaborative research culture.
Current areas of focus include:
Space for Collaboration
The room booking system is available for staff and for students, including PGRs, offering a wide number of rooms of different sizes across campus. Other spaces that sit outside the room booking system include:
- Library Events Space - a number of event spaces are available for activities in line with the library's vision to connect, innovate and include. Visit the Library what's on page for details and make a booking using the Event Proposal Form
- Health Innovation One – they have engagement spaces for working with external partners that support innovative solutions to societal health challenges. Contact: hicadmin@lancaster.ac.uk to discuss your requirements.
- Lancaster Castle offers an innovative space in a historic setting. It can be booked by staff if certain conditions are met and could be used by PGRs providing the booking and event is overseen by a member of staff.
