Students talking in a lecture

The University has a clear vision and strategy to embed sustainability in everything it does, from teaching and research to campus operations and partnerships. We offer a range of training, teaching, events, and advice for staff to help you learn more about sustainability and make a difference, no matter where you work at Lancaster.

Positive Change Week

Positive Change Week was a week-long celebration of sustainability and social responsibility on campus and online. Staff and students were invited to join in with online learning and in-person events to learn more about sustainability and social change.

Procurement training

All staff are offered the chance to join procurement training sessions each year, which focus on sustainable procurement and how to select suppliers who have been chosen for their sustainability performance.

Staff resources

We have created some sustainability resources aimed at helping staff easily access information about sustainability at Lancaster. The aim is to make it easy for all staff, especially when starting, to understand the University’s approach to sustainability, and how they can contribute.
