Project Spin-offs

(1) Development of the INCA-P model for sludge applications, TOPCAT-NP for modelling nutrient export events and TopManage for prediction of source areas, saturation excess overland flow and subsurface flows.

(2) Development of the NERM and PERM and their application, and adaptation into the Flooding and Agriculture Risk Matrix (FARM) adopted by DEFRA.

(3) Linked PhD project (Sinclair, started Oct 2001) Colloid Facilitated Transport as a Mechanism for Phosphorus Delivery to Receiving Waters (University of Sheffield).

(4) MSc. Theses, Morey (2002) Can the pre-treatment of sewage sludge prior to land application reduce phosphorus losses in overland flow? (collaborative with Cranfield University).

(5) Floate (2002) Synchronous nutrient scaling in the Eden catchment (Newcastle University).
