Students who are eligible to apply for a place on the Lancaster Success Programme will be contacted by email in June and invited to complete a short online application form. Please complete the form before the application deadline of 19th July 2024. Places are limited, so it is advisable to apply early to secure a place.
Once prospective students have applied for a place on the LSP, there will be opportunities to attend an LSP Information Session. These are online interactive sessions run by the Student Success Team where you will receive an overview of the LSP support and the chance to ask any questions you might have.
Alternatively, if you have any questions, please contact the Student Success Team via email, studentsuccess@lancaster.ac.uk where we will be happy to help.
If you feel you are eligible to join and would benefit from being on the LSP, please either complete the self-referral form or speak to your department about joining the programme. After completing the application, a Student Success Officer will contact you to explain more about the programme and check whether the LSP can provide the right support for you. If the programme is full at the time of application, you will be added to a waiting list, and if a space on the programme becomes available, a member of the Student Success Team will contact you.
If the LSP isn't right for you, the Student Success Team will endeavour to signpost you to the appropriate support service(s).
You will remain a member of the LSP for your whole undergraduate degree, including any periods on placement or studying abroad.
1:1 coaching sessions are the core element of the LSP, which are 30 minute long sessions with your dedicated Student Success Coach. You will be offered 2 meetings per term (however, you can request more) and it is expected that attend at least 2 coaching sessions per term. In addition to this, the LSP offers a wide range of other opportunities to get involved in: social and networking events, Action Learning Sets and Peer Support sessions. We aim to host two of each activity per term.
