Student beginning registration on laptop

Registration

Registration is the process of becoming an official member of the University. We will help you through it with step-by-step guidance and access to support.

Access the Registration Centre

About a month before your programme starts you will receive an email inviting you to begin registering online and containing a link to the Registration Centre. For students beginning their new programme at the start of the 2024-25 academic year, that means you can expect to receive your email invite from 2 September 2024.

Don’t worry if you are unable to find it. You can also use the Registration Centre link here, but please note this link will only be available once you are due to register online about a month before your programme starts - you won’t be able to register online any earlier than this.

To access the Registration Centre you will need to use the login details you were sent.

If you no longer have access to the email address you were using when you applied to the University:

  • If you will be an undergraduate, please update your UCAS application to show the correct email address.
  • If you will be a postgraduate, please contact Postgraduate Admissions to provide the correct email address.

Complete Registration

During online Registration you will be guided to:

  • Confirm your details.
  • Set up your IT account (this includes agreeing to abide by the University's Computer User Agreement, setting up Multi-Factor Authentication on your IT account, and registering to use the online password reset service).
  • Upload your photo.
  • Upload your documents.
  • Enrol on your modules, where necessary.

After you have completed these steps, they will be approved by a University staff member.

The final step in Registration is attending your ‘Right to Study’ check on campus, and collecting your University Card. For on-campus students, this may be via your college on arrival or through a central registration event during Welcome Week for which you will need to make an appointment - visit our Registration page for more information.

International students will also need to complete International Check-In. This will take place in Welcome Week, and you will receive the information you need to attend this when you arrive for your studies.
