How to Travel to Cumberland Lodge

By Train - The nearest station is Egham (NOT Windsor) and this is 3 miles from the Lodge. The journey time from London Waterloo is normally 35 minutes. (Time Table is available on www.networkrail.co.uk).

These taxis can be booked in advance, or upon arrival. To call from abroad, replace 0 by +44.

You can also book these taxis for a pick up from the airports. One-way trip from Heathrow to Cumberland Lodge costs about £25 and takes about 20 minutes. Please, note that the above-listed taxis charge much less than cabs waiting in the Airport.

Heathrow Airport. The Organising Committee arranges for a Mini-bus service from Heathrow to Cumberland Lodge on 9 August. This service will be available only for those whose flights land on 9 August in Heathrow.

If you land in Gatwick Airport, you can use local trains to Egham Station (Time Table is available on www.networkrail.co.uk). The least expensive and fastest option is to avoid changes in London. From Egham, you can take taxi to the Lodge (see above).

By car -Leave motorway M25 at Junction 13. Follow signs A30 - Egham and then Windsor A308. Once on A308, drive for nearly 2 miles and then turn left - signposted A328 Englefield Green - into Priest Hill. Turn right at the brow of the hill into Castle Hill Road and then right at the T-junction into Bishopsgate Road. This road leads directly to Bishopsgate - one of the entrances into Windsor Great Park. There is a sign to Cumberland Lodge at the cross-roads just beyond the gate. Turn left. After half a mile there is another sign and you should turn half right into the road for the Lodge.
