Cycling at Lancaster – Guided city to campus bike journey

Lancaster University students cycling on a bike path

Join us on our guided cycle journeys from Lancaster city centre to Lancaster University campus to find out why it’s better by bike in 2022.

Guided by a member of the Lancaster University Carbon, Environment and Sustainability team, the journeys will take attending bike riders on the most effective cycling routes between the city and campus.

The first guided journey will leave from the car park of Chancellor’s Wharf at 8am on Friday 14th October. The journey will temporarily stop at the Booths car park at 8:20am to enable other students living in the area to join the journey at this point. The second guided journey will take place on Thursday 20th October and will follow the same schedule as the first event.

All attending cyclists will need to provide their own bike and cycle helmet. There is no registration or cost involved with this event. All you need to do is join the journey on Friday 14th or Thursday 20th October at 8am at Chancellor's Wharf, or at 8:20am at Booths car park.
