Join the Green Lancaster team's taster ECOWoods session to get an overview of Green Lancaster’s ECOWoods project, take part in hands-on restoration work and share a plant-based al fresco tea break in our bell tent! This taster session is a great way for you to meet the Green Lancaster Team, learn more about how you can get involved with us throughout the year, and meet new likeminded people.

Volunteering with ECOWoods, offers direct and practical responses to the climate and ecological emergencies, as the project restores the local landscape, increases biodiversity, sequesters carbon from the atmosphere and protects against flooding. Get involved, gain practical experience and help with nature regeneration!

Please book a ticket to help us know how many participants to expect. If you were unable to book one, you can still come along on the day.

Please meet at the ECOHub on Alexandra Park, from where we will make our way on foot to the day’s location.

Please ensure you are wearing appropriate outdoor footwear and clothing. If you would like to, you will be able to borrow waterproofs and wellies on the day. Gloves and equipment will be provided.

Our Weekly ECOWoods sessions take place every Friday between 09:30 and 13:00 during term time and include activities such as tree planting, spring bulb planting, wildflower meadow, hedgerow & woodland management, natural building, and tree tubes and stakes maintenance.
