Resident Secure Parking
Secure cycle parking is a purpose-built, enclosed cycle parking space that is secured by a combination lock. For College residents, this combination can only be obtained via a delegated authority within your Accommodation Team once you have shown them the required identification.
Within each secure parking facility, there are a number of cycle parking stands available for use. These are not allocated individually so you are free to use any of them to secure your bike. We advise that your bike is locked at all times when using these facilities, using a D-Lock style bike lock as these are proven to be the most effective deterrent to thieves.
What should I do if I notice something suspicious?
Secure parking is the safest way to secure your bike whilst on campus but it is important that you remain vigilant around campus and report anything you might suspect.
If you see anything suspicious or have been approached by anyone for the access code to these facilities, please report it immediately to the Security Lodge, who will then adopt the appropriate measures and inform the police.
Call the Security Lodge on 01524 594541 and report anything suspicious as soon as possible.
If you are in immediate danger, you should call 999 directly and report the incident to the police. A member of the Security Team may then make contact with you afterwards to discuss the incident if required.
