Your wellbeing matters to us. At Lancaster, we've created a support network to help you thrive during your university journey. We offer free support services focusing on academic success, health, wellbeing, belonging, and your university experience.

Our dedicated teams are here for you, whether you're facing academic challenges, need emotional support, or need help with a disability. From mental health services to spiritual guidance, we've got you covered.

If you're an international student, you will also find specialised resources tailored to your unique needs.

Making it easy to find help

If you’re unsure who to speak to, ask your College Advisor Team. Your College is the best first point of contact and can help you directly or connect you with the relevant teams. Alternatively, the ASK (Advice, Support and Knowledge) service can provide advice and direct you to the right services for your needs.

Looking after you

Do you need someone to talk to about managing university life or improving your wellbeing? We offer personalised one-to-one support, engaging group activities and practical guidance to help you stay on track with your studies.

Student wellbeing

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, need advice on balancing your responsibilities, or want to explore ways to enhance your wellbeing, we're here to listen. We also provide specialist support for autistic students, care leavers, estranged students, and student carers. Students can attend one of our daily drop-in sessions for a chat or book a one-to-one appointment or workshop with us.

Supporting your mental health

Life has challenges, but you don't have to face them alone. Our professional Mental Health Practitioners offer free, confidential support to all students. Through focused single-session therapy, we'll help you develop practical strategies to move forward. While we're not a crisis service, we're here to support your mental wellbeing. We can guide you to additional resources when needed.

Supporting you following a crisis

Your safety and wellbeing are paramount. Our Incident Support Service provides compassionate, confidential support if you've experienced any concerning incident. Our dedicated team offers personalised guidance, helping you understand your options and how to access the right support. We'll work at your pace, liaising with academic departments and other services on your behalf if needed. Beyond individual support, we're committed to creating a safer campus through year-round awareness and prevention initiatives.
