Philosophy is often defined as the love of wisdom or the search for truth. But if the scope of philosophy is meant to be universal, why do most philosophy programmes only include material from Europe and North America?
This talk will make the case for why philosophy needs to be de-colonised and then briefly explore some of the exciting new horizons for students of philosophy if we take a genuinely global approach to the subject.
