Lancaster University Pre-School Centre has been awarded the myHappymind Silver Accreditation, following on from achieving the Bronze Accreditation in 2023.

The accreditation identifies that staff, children and parents of the Centre have created a culture that helps build resilience, confidence and self-esteem in themselves and the children they care for, as well as teaching the children how to self-regulate in stressful times, through the myHappymind programme.

This achievement is the result of the team’s continued dedication and hard work, together with the children and parents of the Centre, to deliver a programme that the Pre-School believes is integral to each child’s learning.

The programme is designed for schools, families and nurseries who care about developing the mental wellbeing of children. It combines the latest research, science and technology to help children develop lifelong habits and learn to thrive in the modern world by equipping them with knowledge and skills.

Adele Stewart, Pre-School Centre Manager said: "I am delighted that the Pre-School Centre has continued to embed the programme leading to us being awarded the myHappymind Silver accreditation. It is evident the skills acquired by the children are extremely beneficial. It’s a pleasure to see them demonstrating what they have learnt with such clarity and confidence."
