Dr Alison Stowell and Dr Dmitry Yumashev shared insights from the forthcoming whitepaper publication ‘Setting robust and realistic PCS targets for WEEE to support the transition to a Circular Economy – an Industry White Paper’.
Since October 2017, Dr Alison Stowell, Dr Dmitry Yumashev, Dr Ivar Struijker Boudier and Dr Lingxuan Liu have been commissioned by REPIC Ltd, one of the largest UK producer compliance schemes, to investigate the flows and fates of electrical and electronic equipment and waste generated.
The culmination of this inter-disciplinary research resulted in the creation of the whitepaper and the dissemination of their findings at REPIC’s Roundtable Event in London on the 10th July. The event gave the opportunity for industry and government experts to discuss the complexities, uncertainties and challenges of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) and Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) flows and fates ahead of the whitepaper release.
UPDATE 24/9/18: The whitepaper has been released - you can find out more at http://dynamicweeemodel.co.uk/
