A video of edited highlights of the workshop is now online, and you can see Katre Leino (Pentland Centre PhD Candidate), Dr. Lingxuan Liu (Pentland Centre Anniversary Lecturer) and Dr. Ronika Chakrabarti (Lecturer, Lancaster University Management School) contributing to the day.
The AMJ paper development workshop on "New Ways of Seeing" created a pre-competitive roundtable for us to present paper ideas among researchers, colleagues and editors. I am more than happy to see that there are a few papers focused on different sustainability issues, and also a few other papers with an interesting China management context. It is my first time engaging with such a resourceful platform in the community of business & management studies, and it is a great pleasure talking with both senior and early-stage researchers to pick up their minds on the theoretical and methodological development of research papers.
Dr. Lingxuan Liu
The AMJ New Ways of Seeing (Paper and idea development workshop) gave us the opportunity to present a snapshot of our research and engage in two parallel round table discussions with both editors, colleagues and participants on how we could develop our work further. The discussion for my paper was led by both Eero Vaara and Jason Shaw and their feedback and insight was very helpful in terms of how to better position my work using a 'New Ways of Seeing' lens. Also, acting as participants in round table discussions for other papers was a useful platform for enagement as we had the opportunity to have rich and focused conservations on research with Sucheta Nadkarni, Marc Gruber and fellow participants.
