That’s not because of the significant reputational risk that (at least momentarily) exists for companies who may have toxic bosses who abuse power relations for their own gratification. In my view, it’s because dignity in the work place (and on the street) is a basic human right and therefore an organizational right of employees. The scale of the #metoo campaign – over 12 million posts by 4.7 million users on facebook alone - makes it very clear that organizations and societies have a long way to go on this one.
While I have no easy answers here, I can commit that I will personally stand beside any and all of our team, students and extended network here at the Pentland Centre. I am committed to a providing a transparent, comfortable space at work and welcome these discussions in the workplace.
