Prof Jennifer Francis is a Research Professor at Rutgers University with expertise in the connections between rapid Arctic warming and weather patterns in mid-latitudes, causes and impacts of Arctic sea-ice loss, linkages between Arctic sea-ice loss and accelerated melt of the Greenland ice sheet and interactions between natural climate fluctuations and human-caused changes.

Dr Jeremy Wilkinson, from the British Antarctic Survey (BAS), is an expert on sea ice dynamics, thermodynamics and mechanics, ocean wave propagation through sea ice, and deep-convection and water mass modification. He has collaborated with Professor Gail Whiteman on a number of blog posts.
