To be eligible, you must:
- Be enrolled on a Sunway University degree programme.
- Have completed a least one semester in your programme.
- Have an overall average mark of 50% and above for your latest academic results.
- Be active in extra-curricular activities.
- Be a good communicator, a team player, and a good ambassador.
- Be interested in cross-cultural understanding and interaction.

Semester study
There are over 25 Sunway University programmes with options to spend a semester studying at Lancaster in the UK. The semester runs from October to December each year.

- Pass all your first-year subjects at Sunway University with a Grade C (CGPA 2.5) on the first attempt and score a minimum CGPA of 3.0.
- Satisfactory attendance and departmental approval from Sunway University.
- Be enrolled on the second year during study abroad period.
Sunway College Diploma students can also participate in the LU study abroad programme. The entry requirements are:
- From Diploma: Achieve an overall CGPA of 3.5 or a CAVG of at least 70%

- For Lancaster University scholarship students, there is no cost.
- For Exchange students, a standard tuition fee is paid to Sunway University.
- For fee-paying students a fee of £3,700 is paid to Lancaster University for the Michaelmas term (Oct-Dec)
Global Mobility Scholarships
Lancaster University Global Mobility Scholarships are available for Study Abroad. The scholarship is a 100% tuition fee discount for the semester at Lancaster University.
It is only available for Sunway students registered on a Lancaster validated undergraduate programme. Scholarships will be awarded to applicants with the highest overall grades and have fully met the progression criteria and in good academic standing. You must apply by the deadline and no application fee is charged.

If you are a Malaysian and are studying in Lancaster University for a period of less than six months (for example, one semester), you will not need a visa, but you must meet the Standard Visitor eligibility requirements.

Transfer
Students from Sunway University can transfer to Lancaster University after completing their first year of study at Sunway. Students graduate after two years of study with a Lancaster University degree only.

Graduates of Lancaster University validated degrees are Lancaster alumni and as such may be eligible for our 10% Alumni Loyalty Scholarship.
Where eligible, the Alumni Loyalty Scholarship can be combined with the Global Scholarship - Master’s or the Management School Master's Scholarship.

Lancaster-Sunway 10% Partnership Discount
A special discount is available to Sunway University students who graduated from a Lancaster University validated undergraduate programme, offering them a 10% tuition fee discount.
- The partnership discount can be combined with the 10% Alumni Loyalty Scholarship.
- Please note that this discount cannot be combined with the Lancaster Global Scholarship or Management School Master's Scholarship. Only the award of the highest value will be made.
There are two, exclusive 100% Lancaster University Global Postgraduate Scholarships available each academic year.
Student Eligibility:
Only available for students graduating from a Lancaster University validated undergraduate programme with a first-class honours degree. Scholarships will be awarded to the applicants with highest degree outcomes. There is no application fee for Sunway students (please contact pgadmissions@lancaster.ac.uk to obtain an application fee waiver code). Awardees must meet all other entry requirements for the postgraduate taught programme.

Each year Lancaster University hosts an online conference bringing together undergraduate students from around the Lancaster Partnership to showcase and celebrate research they have conducted – whether as part of a dissertation, internship, placement, or coursework.
