Today marks the start of postgraduate graduation ceremonies at Lancaster University ─ a proud moment for students, staff and families as they gather to celebrate success.

More than 1200 degrees will be conferred in person over the coming days.

Two outstanding individuals will receive Honorary Degrees – awarded to people with a recognised international standing in their field, and to those who have given special service in connection with the University or its regions.

One former Lancaster student will be given an Alumni Award. These recognise Lancaster graduates who have made a substantial contribution in their field and have developed an outstanding national or international reputation amongst their peers.

And students, who have shown exceptional merit in their field, will receive Chancellor’s Medals.
