Lancaster University maintains position in THE World University Rankings 2023

Lancaster University has maintained position in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023 released Wednesday, October 12th.

Listed as 122nd in the latest THE global league table, Lancaster ranks 15th amongst UK universities and remains the highest ranked non-Russell Group institution.

Lancaster also came in the top 50 in the global league table for international outlook moving up five places to 44th from 49th in 2022 and is again ranked in the top 100 for citations moving up 27 places to 67th.

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings includes 1,799 universities across 104 countries and regions, making them the largest and most diverse university rankings to date.

The table is based on 13 performance indicators that measure an institution’s performance across four areas: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.

This year’s ranking analysed more than 121 million citations across over 15.5 million research publications and included survey responses from 40,000 scholars globally.
