A Lancaster University Management School PhD researcher has collected a prestigious award from the British Academy of Management (BAM).

Shayan Rashidi, who is in the second year of his studies in the Department of Entrepreneurship (ENST) and Strategy, was recognised at BAM’s annual conference, at the University of Sussex Business School.

The paper Managing artificial intelligence within the digital transformation process of organisations: a systematic review of the literature was co-authored with his PhD supervisors Professor Lola Dada – Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Strategy – and Dr Richard Williams, a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management Science.

The paper was submitted in the Organisational Transformation, Change and Development track at the conference, which was open to all academic papers – not just those authored or co-authored by PhD researchers.

“It is wonderful for our paper to be recognised with the award from the British Academy of Management,” said Shayan. “I have nothing but gratitude for Lola and Richard for their constant inspiration and support during my PhD research, and the award is a fantastic way of demonstrating the how successfully we have worked together.”
