Lancaster University has been named Best University Halls in the UK at this year's National Student Housing Awards.
Lancaster earned the title of ‘Best University Halls’ for the seventh time since first entering the survey in 2010.
The awards are a measure of student satisfaction that compare peer institutions as well as private providers of student accommodation.
Lancaster Accommodation has also been given the ‘Best Individual Accommodation’ award for its County Townhouses, and the ‘Best Learning Environment’ award for its Grizedale Townhouses.
The University is one of just four higher education providers to have gained the International Accommodation Quality Mark, which recognises organisations achieving at least 90 percent satisfaction among international students.
Head of Accommodation Candace Davies said: “We are delighted to have been named ‘Best University Halls’ – especially as the award is based on the feedback of our students.
“It really highlights the effort and dedication of everyone involved, from the staff that manage the accommodation, to the people that clean and maintain it and the Colleges that add so much value to the student experience.”
More than 33,000 students from around the UK were surveyed this year.
The National Student Housing Awards (NSHA) is run by Red Brick Research, an independent market research company, to measure satisfaction levels in all types of accommodation.
