Lancaster University is one of the top ten places in the UK to study Geography and Environmental Science, and the best in the North West.
These subjects at Lancaster have risen from tenth to ninth place in this year’s Complete University Guide league table, performing particularly well for the academic quality of students and the job prospects of graduates.
Overall, Lancaster Environment Centre was judged the best place in the North West of England to study Geography and Environmental Science, beating all other universities in the region.
Biological Sciences also did well, coming 13th out of the 99 universities assessed. The subject performed particularly well for having satisfied students and for the quality of its research.
“This means that students get taught by academics at the forefront of their field, are happy with the education on offer and have good job prospects when they leave,” said Dr Jane Taylor, Associate Director at Lancaster Environment Centre.
