Katie Pleasant studied the Law (LL.B) programme. She particularly enjoyed the dissertation option as she was able to select a topic of interest and gain knowledge at a depth not possible within other modules. She achieved a first class honours degree and is now working as a paralegal at Knights Professional Services, hoping to pursue a career as a solicitor. UG Dissertations: Freedom of Expression: A Game of Shadows?
Ioana Ortance Onu graduated with a First Honours Law LL.B degree in July 2015 and chose to do a dissertation in the field of Human Rights, more specifically, on the freedom of expression in Germany in the European context, contrasted with the more liberal American approach. Ioana is starting an LLM in ‘International Law’ at Lancaster in October.

Alexander McKerrow graduated from Lancaster with a first class LLB law degree. He is currently backpacking through North and South America. He is due to begin the LPC in January 2016 at BPP Law School before commencing a training contract at a 'magic circle' law firm. His dissertation was supervised by Dr Agata Fijalkowski.

School of Law students visit our partner campus in Ghana
In March 2015 a group of seven School of Law students and one staff member visited Lancaster University’s partner campus in Accra, Ghana as part of the Lancaster-Ghana Ambassadors scheme. They were accompanied by staff and students from Linguistics and Politics, Philosophy and Religion (PPR) and followed an intensive programme of educational and networking activities.
