Lancaster University is a finalist in two categories at this year’s Global Student Living (GSL) Awards, based on reviews submitted by students.

Lancaster has been shortlisted for its excellence in providing inclusive housing for vulnerable student groups in the Inclusivity Impact category, and the quality of its postgraduate accommodation in the Best Specialist Housing category.

The Global Student Living Awards are based exclusively on direct feedback from tens of thousands of students at universities and colleges across the UK and Europe.

Candace Davies, Head of Accommodation at Lancaster University, said: “We are incredibly grateful that our students have recognised our efforts to provide a home that is welcoming to all students who live here and form our fantastic diverse community.”

Postgraduate accommodation at Lancaster, which is provided within its Graduate College, offers residents a tailored living environment specially designed for Masters and doctoral students.

It features a social space and environment for collaborative study, a reservable kitchen for residents to cook together during celebrations, and family rooms that offer students with children a space to play during study periods and meet other families living and studying at Lancaster University.

Meanwhile, the Inclusivity Impact Award category highlights Lancaster University’s commitment and success in promoting diversity, equality, and inclusivity on campus.

The GSL Awards 2024 winners will be announced in October 2024.
