The second phase of a project to expand the existing campus wide closed-circuit television (CCTV) network will take place from Monday 17 March to Friday 6 June, causing minor disruption to some pedestrian routes.

To enhance campus safety, 16 new external CCTV cameras will be installed to provide additional coverage of avenues across campus, further supporting the work carried out by Security staff.

As part of the project, ground excavations will be carried out for the installation of cables and camera posts which may impact some footpaths and landscaping. In some locations a mini digger will be used, causing some minor noise disruption at times. Temporary ground protection mats will be put in place where necessary to provide safe pedestrian routes around the excavations.
