Localised works to install new District Heating pipework will take place in Bowland Hall from Thursday 22 June until mid-July 2023.

The project will take place in and around the eastern side of Bowland Hall, opposite the Music Building and Great Hall and will connect Bowland Hall to the District Heating Network, which will improve the energy efficiency of the building as part of a larger, campus-wide carbon reduction project.

The works are scheduled to commence from Thursday 22 June and will include some localised noise disruption in and around the eastern side of Bowland Hall which may affect Bowland Hall, Music Building and Great Hall users. The path leading from the Bowland Hall grassy area to Rossendale Avenue between Bowland Hall House 1 and Bowland Annexe will be closed throughout the duration of the works. Accessible diversion routes will be clearly signposted from both sides of the closure.

We apologise for any disruption caused while we work to improve the campus. For more information regarding this project and other current and upcoming works across campus please visit News | Lancaster University or contact the Facilities Helpdesk: 01524 593333, facilities.helpdek@lancaster.ac.uk.
