This event will now be held online
This event is open to anyone interested in researcher profiles, including professional service staff, research staff, postgraduate students, technicians, and other support staff.
Would you like to know more about the different types of research profiles? Do you want to know how to manage your research profiles effectively?
A research profile can effectively showcase your publications and research data, promote your skills and knowledge, connect you with other researchers within and beyond the University and increase the impact of your research. A wide range of research systems can contribute to your profile as a researcher, some of these profiles you will have to create yourself, whilst other systems automatically create them for you once you publish an output.
Join us for this workshop exploring the different types of Researcher Profiles, what makes an effective profile, and how to enhance your online presence through them. We will also explore strategies for managing your time and maintain your online profiles effectively.
The workshop will cover the following topics:
- What are research profiles?
- Why are research profiles important?
- What makes a good research profile?
- ORCiD
- SCOPUS
- Web of Science
- Altmetrics
- Google Scholar
- Pure
There will be further repeats of this workshop over the coming months, the times and dates of these sessions are TBC.
