All staff are welcome take part. If you’ve never been part of a graduation ceremony, now is your chance. No experience is needed, just a commitment of your time and a willingness to make graduation day really special for our graduates and their guests.

Join the extended Graduation Team

There are many different volunteer roles ranging from ushering students and their guests to where they need to be, either lining up or just offering a friendly signpost to settle any last minute nerves, to key ceremonial roles such as being a macebearer or halberdier. You can find descriptions of all the roles on the Staff Intranet.

All volunteers will be fully briefed and there are many ‘old hands’ around to ask if you are unsure of anything.

Support is particularly needed in the last ceremony of each day. If you can spare some time to volunteer, you can find the July graduation timetable on the Graduation website as well as details of how you can get involved.
