COP-26 has shown us that fine words unsupported by any binding legal requirements will not enable us to solve the global challenge the Climate Crisis poses. In this lunchtime lecture, award-winning environmentalist and best-selling author, Dr Vandana Shiva, discusses the relationship between the local and the international, and calls for us not to fall for the false freedoms of “free trade”, corporate rule and consumerism, and to stand up for diversity and our common future.

Litfest is proud to announce the first Lancaster Environment Lecture, a joint venture with Lancaster University.
