Please see below for details of a fascinating film about one of the world's first therapeutic communities - still running today as a national resource.
Hospital in the Mind: Film Screening
This fascinating documentary offers a unique insight into one of the world’s first therapeutic communities. The film draws on the experience of four generations of patients, nurses and therapists. It highlights the Cassel Hospital’s pioneering approach which combines individual psychoanalysis with a participative, group based approach.
Join the Critical and Creative Approaches to Mental Health Practice (CCrAMHP) group for a screening and discussion.
----------------
The Cassel Hospital is the only in-patient NHS service of its kind in the UK. It is a national resource, providing treatment for patients with complex emotional needs over nine months, followed by two years’ of outreach support.
