Did Donald Trump really leave a lasting impact on politics and journalism? What’s the future of the U.S. presidency, democracy, and journalism? Join authors of an upcoming edited volume, The Future of the Presidency, Journalism, and Democracy: After Trump (Routledge) on April 12 at 5 p.m. UK time, hosted by Lancaster University’s Institute for Social Futures.

Speakers include:

  • Emily Spiers, Lancaster University, on an overview of politics of the future
  • David Altheide, Arizona State University, on the potential for politics and fear in the future
  • Katherine Bell, California State University East Bay, on possibilities for anti-racist journalism
  • Jesse Benn, University of Wisconsin-Madison, on journalism’s social justice futures
  • Hannah Artman, University of Miami, on tomorrow’s issues of immigration and identities
  • Stephen Heidt, California State University Northridge, on futures of populist residential rhetoric
