Following its success in the past two years, Defying Dementia Day is back for 2019. The event is the perfect opportunity to bring together people living with dementia, staff & volunteers of dementia associations, family members, clinicians, care professionals and scientists – to share and learn from one another.
The conference will be chaired by Dr Penny Foulds, Lancaster University and MAC Clinical Research, and Dianne Smith, Matron for Dementia, University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay Trust.
Lectures will take place throughout the day, with the morning focusing on developments in research, and the afternoon focusing on living with dementia. The lectures are all 25 minutes in length, allowing 5 minutes for questions.
A ‘marketplace’ and activities will be open throughout the day that will offer information on local support and ideas for people living with dementia.
Online ticket sales are live until 4pm on Friday 18th October. Any remaining tickets can be purchased on the door.
Free parking is available on campus (see here for the campus map).
