Clinton Ajayi graduated from Lancaster University in 2017 having studied Economics and he was a member of Lonsdale College. He has recently started a new venture called Sportas that he would love to share with fellow alumni.

"I founded Sportas with my childhood friends because we loved playing sports at university but now that we've graduated and moved back to London, it's a struggle to find people to play with on a regular basis. We wanted to build something that helped us solve this and quickly realised we weren’t the only ones facing this problem. So Sportas was born!

Sportas is the best way to play sports with others in London! We help you play the sports you love and to try new ones whenever you want. We launched in July 2021 and to date we’ve already helped 1,000+ people find a game of sports to play. We exist so people can make sports a part of their weekly routine; to lead a healthier and happier life via keeping active, having fun and meeting lots of new people. Lancaster University has been an incredible part of my journey, it’s where I grew as a person. Taking an active part in the university by becoming President of the Bright Futures Society and by being part of Lonsdale College JCR helped me improve as a leader.

I’ve also met some of my best friends at Lancaster, two of whom gave me the incredible opportunity to join them when they were building their own startup Yoke. Without joining Yoke I wouldn’t have acquired the skills and confidence to be able to now start my own venture. So, I would not be exaggerating if I said that I would not be where I am today if I hadn't gone to Lancaster; it was one of the best years of my adult life so far.
