Professor Peter J Buckley

Professor Peter J Buckley, PhD Economics 1975 was awarded an OBE for services to Higher Education, International Business and Research

Professor Buckley founded the Centre for International Business at the University of Leeds (CIBUL), one of the world’s leading research centres in International Business, and has carried out consultancy assignments for central government, local government, international bodies and leading companies. His current research interests centre on the theory of the multinational firm, knowledge management in multinational firms, the international transfer of technology, the impact of foreign direct investment and foreign direct investment in China, and outward direct investment from emerging countries, particularly China and India.

He was awarded the OBE in May 2012.
