Jon and Karen married at the end of 2011. They met in their first year in 1999.

Jon Powell, BBA, 2003 ( Furness), MSc Operational Research, 2004 (Graduate) married  Karen Armstrong , BA (Hons) Religious Studies 2002 (Furness), MA Religious Studies, 2004 (Graduate) at  Lancaster House Hotel in December 2011. Jon and Karen met in 1999 as first year students living in Furness College. Jon is the Enterprise Team Manger at the University and Karen is head of Humanities at Haslingden High School. Jon and Karen would like to thank everyone for their kind wishes and support during their time together at Lancaster.
