Join us in celebrating Professor Emeritus David Milman’s retirement from Lancaster University with talks on his research, policy impact, and role in establishing a foundation of excellence in insolvency research at the university.
Professor Milman has played a pivotal role in shaping legal scholarship. His numerous publications, including 27 editions of the Annotated Guide to Insolvency Legislation, have been widely used within judicial citing, demonstrating their lasting impact on both academia and practice.
The event will feature talks from Milman’s colleagues past and present including Employment Judge Mark Butler and members of Exchange Chambers, Manchester, Prof. Milman’s own reflections on his career and policy engagement, and three current Lancaster University Law School academics- Dr John Wood, Dr Sofia Elina, and Dr Rafael Savva will discuss what their own research offers to practitioners, and the future of insolvency research at Lancaster University.
