To help with the final part of your journey, we are offering transport from Manchester airport to Lancaster University campus on the following dates in 2024:

• Saturday 31 August and Sunday 1st September - Pre-Sessional English (4-week course)
• Saturday 14 September - Study Start
• Saturday 28 September and Sunday 29 September - Main Arrivals

Please note that if you arrive at Manchester Airport on a date other than the ones specified above, we will not be able to provide a transfer service to Lancaster University. For more information on train bookings. You can also find information on taxi services and booking costs.

About the service

• Transport between Manchester Airport and Lancaster University campus will be in the form of coaches, meaning that you will travel with other students.
• Each student must book their own space – please do not book a space on behalf of a friend. You can book up to 2 spaces for guests who do not attend the university if they are accompanying you on your arrival to campus.
• You will need your email address and College name in order to make a booking.
• You can bring 2 pieces of hold luggage (i.e. 2 suitcases) and 1 piece of hand luggage.
• Student Ambassadors from Lancaster University will be positioned at a meeting point in Manchester Airport and will escort you to the coach.
• The travel time from the airport to campus is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
• If you miss your transfer please contact us and we will try to arrange an alternative time or method. However, if you contact us more than 2 hours after the last advertised shuttle time we will be unable to provide transport and will refer you to public transport services.
