From Heathrow airport
If you land in Heathrow Airport, you can either take a local taxi to the Cumberland Lodge, or take a local bus to Egham and then take a taxi from Egham to the Cumberland Lodge.
By Taxi:
The price for the pre-booked taxi journey from Heathrow to the Cumberland Lodge is approximately £25, depending on the time of day. To book your taxi, please contact local Taxi companies. Please note that the standard price for the journey on a "Black Cab" taxi from Heathrow (if not pre-booked) is aproximately £45.
By Bus:
- Route 71 serves from Heathrow Terminal 5 Bus Station to Egham Town Centre (Approximately 30min) (timetable)
- Route 441 is from Heathrow Central Bus Station (Stand 4) to Egham Town Centre (approximately 60min) (timetable).
After arriving at Egham, you can either walk to the a taxi waiting area at Egham Train Station (5 min walk) or call a local taxi company for a taxi to pick you up from the bus stop.
If you travel during the daytime in good weather, if you do not have too much luggage and if you fancy a short walk (15-20min), exit the bus 71 at the Coopers Hill Lane bus stop (see the map), follow the Castle Hill road, turn right into Bishopsgate road, walk through the gates to the Great Park and follow the signes to the Cumberland Lodge.
From Gatwick
If you land in Gatwick Airport, you can use local trains to Egham Station (Time Table is available on www.nationalrail.co.uk). The least expensive and fastest option is to avoid changes in London. From Egham, you can take taxi to the Lodge.
By Rail from Central London
The nearest station to the Cumberland Lodge is Egham (NOT Windsor) and this is 3 miles from the Lodge. The journey time from London Waterloo railway station is normally 35 minutes on fast trains. (Time Table is available on www.nationalrail.co.uk).
From Egham, you can take taxi to the Lodge.

Approximate fares of a pre-booked taxi to Cumberland Lodge: £9 from Egham, £25 from Heathrow, and £65 from Gatwick. To call from abroad, replace 0 by +44. You might want to ask the taxi company to confirm the price while booking your taxi.
By car
Leave motorway M25 at Junction 13. Follow signs A30 - Egham and then Windsor A308. Once on A308, drive for nearly 2 miles and then turn left - signposted A328 Englefield Green - into Priest Hill. Turn right at the brow of the hill into Castle Hill Road and then right at the T-junction into Bishopsgate Road. This road leads directly to Bishopsgate - one of the entrances into Windsor Great Park.
Just beyond the gate at the cross-roads, there is a sign to Cumberland Lodge. Turn left. After half a mile there is another sign and you should turn half right into the road for the Lodge.
GPS SatNav Systems do not work in Great Park, however they will work for Bishopsgate Road, Englefield Green, TW20 0XU wich is just outside the Bishopsgate entrance.
