Other Literary Achievements

My work has been aired for radio on BBC world service and I have written a book, Beyond the River Yei, in 2003, to raise awareness about Sleeping sickness, one of the world forgotten diseases. This book was written in partnership with Sven Torfinn an award-winning photographer, Malteser and The European Union. The text will be published in Duke University’s, Transition.

Works-in Progress

I am writing a book length memoir for Granta Books to be published in 2006 and am presently completing my first novel, The Fallen World of Appearances. I have just completed a collection of short stories, which I shall submit for publication in 2005. Also I am editing an anthology of Kenyan poetry to be published by Ishmael Reed. Keeping within publishing I will edit the first novel written in Sheng (Kenya’s Creole) in 2005. Lastly I have been commissioned by the Ford Foundation to write a non-fiction book about the live of the Batwa People of Uganda, Rwanda, Congo and Cameroon.
