So you think you wanna join our club?

First of all make sure you meet these criteria:

• You have a bike (no matter what it is, come along).

• You enjoy riding it.

• You are a member of Lancaster University.

It costs about a fiver to join and the following is a breakdown of where the money goes: The first £3 goes to the Student Union or Societies Council to be more precise. This covers all photo-copying, goes towards hire of minibuses, gives us an email address, SU bank account, allows us to use the University's name etc, etc. The other £2 is uses for things like to club toolkit - available to all members - and goes towards the AGM food/drink is there is a surplus. Last year we also used it for setting up the club shirts. So it's not just to line the pockets of the Exec!!

A club newsletter will land in your pigeon hole about once every blue moon if someone bothers! (most news is delivered by email). These will inform you of social (usually in a pub on campus or in town) and of any trips and special rides.

The club has an extensive range of maps, routes and safety stuff for use on club rides. Your membership will get you 10% off at The Edge bike shop in town, near the Bus station.

Socials are every Thursday in the old Wetherspoons near the cinema at 7.30 ish.
