Innerleithen June 02

Innerleithen (Scotland)

The trip to Innerleithen / Peebles was also a success, although the "world-class" downhill course was a bit of a let down (maybe it's because I was on a hardtail..).Mad drunk scots and insane family pets aside, we had a good weekends riding/drinking (not necessarily in that order).

The trails were much like Coed y brenin but with far better man made surfaced downhill singletrack sections with loads of berms and doubles/table tops that weren't too difficult to pull off, although the moguls had me a bit confused...

Of course we held up the Lucc tradition of visiting the local Kebab shop, this time owned by local business man Mr Qasim.

Ruth, Ben and Will  at the top of the first fireroad hill heading towards the top of the DH course. Innerleithen is in the background.

Neil, Ruth, and Will at the top (or what we thouyght must be the top!) of the DH course - Ready to Rock!

Bit of an "Arty" shot this one (the scanner messed up) showing Ben catching some air over one of the jumps on one of the man made trails we rode in the area.

Me over the same same jump (not quite so much style, but a fair amount of air)

Neil riding one of the built up Berms on one of the Downhill sections.

Will riding the same Berm (ignore the white socks!)

OK, another "Arty" shot this one, probably not intentional, but it's Ben jumping a tabletop all the same.

Me over the same table top - you can't see the ground 10ft (Yeah - right!) below my wheels on this
