Dr Lara Warmelink
Senior Lecturer - Security LancasterMy Role
I am a senior lecturer in the Department of Psychology and connected to Security Lancaster.
Research Overview
My research focuses on deception, particularly detecting lies about intentions. I use a variety of methods to study verbal and non-verbal cues to deception. I also study when people lie and how they decide what the content of that lie should be.
Profile
I have a BSc in psychology and an MPhil in cognitive neuroscience (Leiden University, the Netherlands, 2007, 2009, both with distinctions). My PhD in psychology is from the University of Portsmouth (2012) and was on Lying about Intentions.
