The research expertise of several researchers in the School of Global Affairs focuses on different aspects of Disability and Health in transcultural contexts. Their work contributes to the field of Medical and Health Humanities and Critical Disability Studies. Researchers working in these fields are part of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Health Research Hub and collaborate with networks within and beyond the university. Our interests extend through mental and physical health, understanding of disability, wellbeing, the therapeutic value of literature and translation, health practice, spaces of health and health communication.
