Lancaster University was founded in 1964 and is now regarded as a top ten
UK university, within the top 125 worldwide. It is set in 250 acres of
parkland and lies approximately 3.5 miles south of the City of Lancaster.
The main conference will be held in the George Fox building, a short walk
from the accommodation. The accommodation consists of en-suite study
bedrooms situated in modern halls of residence located in Cartmel college
on the south-west campus.
The Wednesday evening reception will include dinner and live music, hosted
at the Midland Hotel in Morecambe. The hotel is an internationally renowned
Art-Deco classic, which after being lovingly restored was reopened in 2008.
Today, Morecambe's modernist masterpiece has regained its rightful place as
the crowning glory of the North West coast.
The conference dinner on the Thursday evening will be hosted at the Lancaster
House Hotel, conveniently situated adjacent to the university campus.
