Keynote 2: From design to evaluation of scripted networked collaborative learning environments
His primary research goal is to provide an interdisciplinary view of
on innovative technology support to collaborative learning.
He is an active member of the Kaleidoscope Network of Excellence on Technology
Enhanced Learning and has participated in several national and european
research projects.
The most recent work of his group on authoring and deployment tools for
scripted collaborative learning has won the "European CSCL Technology
Award".
Professor Diana Laurillard, London Knowledge Lab, Institute of Education.
Keynote 3: Evolving a Vision for Technology-Enhanced Learning
Diana Laurillard is Professor of Learning with Digital Technologies at the London Knowledge Lab. Her main role is to lead research on technology-enhanced learning, and to build productive collaborative projects between the Lab, educators, the digital media industry, and policy-makers. She is on the Executive of the EU Network of Excellence for Technology-Enhanced Learning (Kaleidoscope). Her work focuses on theory-based design of learning and teaching methods and resources, learners’ conceptions and misconceptions, flexible learning activity design tools for teachers, and cost-benefit modeling for the introduction of ICT in education. Previously she was at the Department for Education and Skills, where she developed a cross-sector e-learning strategy, Harnessing Technology: Transforming Learning and Children’s Services, published in March 2005. From 1995 to 2002, she held two terms of office as PVC at the Open University, with responsibility for developing the appropriate use of learning technologies. Her most widely cited publication is Rethinking University Teaching (Routledge Falmer, 2nd edition 2002).

Keynote 1: Social Networking for Social Justice: Challenges and Possibilities
Charalambos Vrasidas is co-founder and Executive Director of CARDET
– Centre for the Advancement of Research & Development in
Educational Technology, an international
non-profit non-governmental research and development organisation. He
is also Associate Professor of Learning Technologies at Intercollege.
He currently serves on the Executive Committee of the International Council
of Educational Media, a UNESCO affiliated organisation and is the Editor-in-Chief
of the scholarly journal Educational Media International.
He has conducted research on networked learning for the over 10 years,
and has advised NGOs, companies, schools, and Ministries of Education
in Asia, Europe, and the United States. He has published 4 books and more
than 60 articles in journals and edited volumes. His upcoming book is
titled ICT for Education, Development and Social Justice.
A well-known speaker, he has presented more than 100 papers at national
and international events. His main areas of expertise are e-learning,
distance education, ICT for social justice, and evaluation of learning
technologies.
