But the breast leaf in this capital is more delicate than in any of the others, which are gener[f]ally as at p The 6th 46 1. which this is from the 6th, whose spiral leaves above are also ruder (Note: the shaft with the new pilastr[e] attached to it in upper arcade comes over the point of the closed arch between the 5th and 6th pillar.) The 13th The 13th is the next on this plan. But it looks restored: The lion’s heads are rough chiselled; and have large open drill holes to the eyes; while on the 3rd and 6th the heads are stiff and smooth cut; with sharp small drill holes in eye. The 16th. The 16th: The drill holes in eyes are still more open: The eyebrows - here - and in the lions of 13th are haired; in the 3rd and 6th smooth; (The Noah Ham and Adam have indeed hairy eyebrows, but not heavy haired, sharp and severe.) In this 16th the ridge rib of the lower part of the central leaf becomes a huge round one, vid section p 44 1 pal book, remaining a sharp ridge on the curled part above; Thus, since the third differed in its breast leaf, and a little in its section, only the 6th and 13th are exactly alike.
