                                                                      		All is exquisitely worked and the leaves are pushed
                                                                      		hither and thither lightly by the swords and sceptres
                                                                      		which gives this capital peculiar grace.  Its l ribs are
                                                                      		most perfectly rounded.
                                                                      	The 17th.  On same plan exactly; the lobes a little more ridged
                                                                      	The 19th.  Something more modern in look.  Great pains have been
                                                                      		taken about it.  The leaves sweep more in their flow;  the
                                                                      		angle leaves have seven ribs for five;  and as this
                                                                      		gives two more great divisions, each division is shorter
                                                                      		and has a lobe less;  the effect is less graceful;  They
                                                                      		are more modulated in surface;  and the ribs are not
                                                                      		only more fine, but have a different character about the
                                                                      		joint.  Fig 1 p 52 is the general skeleton of the 19th 
                                                                      		angle leaf;  Fig 2 its upper forks real size.  Fig 3 the
                                                                      		forks of the 5th real size sz (I say so in note, but they are

outline within which the figure and leaf are worked.                  		The vegetable organization is thus much more prononcé in
                                                                      		the 5th.  The diminution of the stem as it forks is most
                                                                      		admirably observed in both.
                                                                      	The 25th.  (Seasons)  This is the best preserved and most valuable
                                                                      		of the series.  The groins of the lobes drawn from its
                                                                      		head leaf at p 53 1 are explanatory of the system of
                                                                      		them all.
