Notebook M p.145L Cavalli ‘now add one called Cavalli, next to the Post Office -daged long ago: and now detailed on No 155 it has one superb finistrato on the first floor and another window at the side of the det Foscari Pattern: It is on the whole the finest example of the 4 foiled piece palace in Venice, and remarkable for the excessive narrowness of its cusp: (in depth) for the return of the cavetto in its tracery, common to this and the Ca Foscari and for the magnificent breadth of its flower band on the shafts.’
