Ruskin is here using a numbering system starting from what he called the 18th Capital in his final numbering system for the Ducal Palace. Series of Capitals of the Lower Arcade. The thirteenth capital by this system is therefore the 31st Capital of the Ducal Palace Lower Arcade by Ruskin’s final system. Compare the diagram at Palace Book p.13L.
It is interesting that the diagrams and references to the 3rd capital in the lower part of the page and on the opposite page appear to be to 3rd Capital of the Ducal Palace Lower Arcade using Ruskin’s final system
